Adobe (formerly Macromedia) Flash is an application that is used to make interactive animations; they can be so complex that entire websites can be built using Flash.
Fishscape Web Design offers Flash design services, ranging from simple animated banners, (for example on Debbie Locke Health and Beauty, The Parsonage), to interactive logos with links, as per the one on Fishscape Web Design's home page and Photo Galleries made using FLash like on the William Construction website.
If a client wished to have the entire site built using Flash, then this can be done as well, and is to be preferred for sites that are media-rich, though there is a trade off in terms of search engine performance.
